We know what you’re thinking: how can a small bathroom look equally as spacious as a master bathroom? With much less space for a free-standing bath, accessories, or furniture, a luxury bathroom can feel like a million miles away. But we have the solution!

There are many ways to remodel your small bathroom to maximise your space and really make it feel as luxurious as a master bathroom. We’ve got some easy designs to help you get to grips with remodelling to make the best of your space…

#1 Small And Delightful…

One of the easiest ways to remodel your bathroom is to decorate your walls. Whether you choose to use an abstract wallpaper or you’d prefer a patterned tile, there are plenty of options available to spruce up your walls.

Having a bright colour on your walls creates a bold statement that can make your bathroom stand out a lot more, while creating a more dramatic look. This then creates the perception that your bathroom is more spacious than it actually is.

One top tip for making the best of your space is to use large squares, wide stripes, and big patterns, as these are the best way to exaggerate the natural space of your bathroom.

You’ll often find that people notice your exotic wallpaper or bright wall colour, rather than the size of your bathroom.

#2 Get Smart With Your Space…

Another great way to maximise your space is to use fittings that are perfectly sized for your bathroom. Corner sinks are great for smaller bathrooms as they are often very space-saving, and even cupboards that have rounded corners can give you extra storage without taking up too much space.

Blend these options together by adding your wash basin to your vanity cupboard. This will maximise your bathroom space, whilst providing practical storage and adding a bit of luxury.

#3 Sliding Doors Are Key…

If you’ve got enough room for a shower, you can either add a shower curtain or sliding doors. These will work better for smaller bathrooms as you don’t have the restrictions that come with a shower door that is on hinges.

A massive advantage of having a shower curtain is that you have the choice to keep it open or close it when guests come over.

Shower doors, on the other hand, require a little more space but can be very practical as they will reduce any water splashes outside of the shower, but still, flawlessly make your bathroom more elegant. Either option is great to make the most of your space whilst still remaining practical for you and your family.

Transform Your Bathroom…

There is often a misconception that smaller bathrooms are easier to renovate compared to larger ones, but this isn’t true. A smaller bathroom has the same elements as a larger bathroom does, so without additional help, it could be a lengthy and difficult process to manage alone.

Here at Castle Tile and Bathroom, we can provide you with expert advice and professional service, whilst supporting you through the whole process from start to finish. Get in touch today for your free design service or an initial site survey…
